NORTH CAUCASUS FEDERAL UNIVERSITY

The North-Caucasus Federal University was founded based on Decree by President of Russian Federation № 958 (July 18, 2011) and Order by Government of Russian Federation № 226-р (February 22, 2012), as the result of a merge of the three universities located in the Stavropol Region – the North-Caucasus State Technical University; the Stavropol State University, and the Pyatigorsk Humanities-Technological University.

This institution is not only rated as one of the largest educational institutions of the region yet it also is a unique site for numerous scientific and innovation projects, the leading arena for intercultural dialogue both within the region and beyond, and is a leading force contributing to the sustainable regional development through educational, cultural, and scientific links both within the NCFD and with the neighboring countries.

By the year 2021 the NCFU shall become the largest academic institution for higher education in the North-Caucasus Federal District.

ACADEMY OF ECONOMIC STUDIES OF MOLDOVA

The Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova was established on 25 September 1991 pursuant to Decision no. 537 of the Government of the Republic of Moldova.The Institute of National Economy of the Ministry of Economy and two faculties within the State University -“Economics”, ”Trade Economics and Commodity Science” – lay the foundation of the Academy.

At present, the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova is a modern university complex, organized into 6 faculties, 26 chairs, 2 departments, 7 centres, 13 offices and services, the Master School of Excellence in Economics and Business, 2 Doctoral Schools, School of Tourism and Hotel Services, a Business Incubator and the National College of Trade.

ASEM has a sound material resource basis: a scientific library, a centre of multimedia, a number of centres for on-going training and consulting, other subdivisions, 6 buildings equipped with the latest technologies; 7 dormitories with study rooms; a modern sports complex; 27 computer classrooms, connected to Internet; a rehabilitation centre and a recreation facility in Vadul lui Voda village.

A special emphasis is placed on cooperation with other higher education institutions and research centres from more than 20 countries worldwide, having rich traditions in economic education and research. Our institution is a member of the European University Association (EUA), the Francophone University Association (FUA), the Black Sea Universities Network (BSUN), the Central European Initiative University Network (CEI – University Network).
Relationships with our partners have promoted advanced teaching methods and modern economic principles, while the academic exchanges have enabled numerous teachers and students to carry out internships at the most prestigious foreign universities. Special importance is given to the implementation of the Bologna Declaration stipulations at ASEM, emphasizing the quality of education, development of scientific research and excellence in academic administration.

The Republic of Moldova has officially announced its strategic orientation towards joining the European Union. This means that universities in our country will find themselves in a highly competitive environment created under the Single European higher education area with a considerable increase of academic mobility and greater opportunities for young people aiming to study in a European university. The above mentioned involve changes and radical improvements in economy, in the system of higher education and will require the development of strategies aimed at ensuring capacity building so as to be competitive under the new conditions of the academic environment.

ALECU RUSSO BALTI STATE UNIVERSITY

Founded 1945 and became Pedagogical Institute 1953. Acquired present status and title 1992.

2016Currently the Alecu Russo Balti State University is an educational, scientific, and cultural center in the northern part of the Republic of Moldova, which proposes to deploy the activity according to a set of goals aimed at developing and advancing them to a new level of conceptualizing and achieving its mission as the institution with the status of national heritage, meant to contribute to the reform of higher education on the essential coordinates, according to modern, European and global requirements in the following aspects : a) mission; b) education and teaching; c) research, development and innovation; d) financial and material; e) adequate payroll for hard work, supporting and remuneration of performance; f) technical equipment of the educational process and research; g) continuing education of scientific and scientific-teaching staff; i) extracurricular education; k) self-government students; l) national and international collaboration; m) collaboration with institutions from the pre-university educational system and other institutions and organizations from the city and districts of the country. At the same time, it takes place the escalation of educational internationalization process through participation in various programs: EFFORT, IANUS, IANUS II, EMERGE, EUROEAST, TEMPO, WEBB etc. Dozens of teachers and students benefit from mobilities in universities abroad. Similarly, the University hosts teachers and students from other countries.

The aim of our institution is to prepare specialists corresponding to modern requirements, able to adapt to the dynamic character of the labor market, able to demonstrate initiative, creativity, high professional skills. At the same time, the institution proposes a general formation of students who correspond to the high title of "University Alumni": the democratic spirit, analytical thinking, modern mentality, culture and education, moral conscience, with a particular openness to new, citizenship, sense of responsibility and love for the country and nation. Our slogan is: "The student is the central figure in the university".

CHISINAU ION CREANGĂ PEDAGOGICAL STATE UNIVERSITY

The “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University of Chisinau was formed according to the decision of the Moldovan Government of 16 August 1940, initially called the Moldovan State Pedagogical Institute, which in 1955 was renamed the “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical Institute from Chisinau. In 1992, based on the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Moldova no. 330 of May 21 “Regarding the reorganization of the university education system”, the Institute is reorganized in the “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University of Chisinau.

The “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University of Chisinau is a higher education institution aiming at the initial and continuous higher education of specialists in the fields of Education Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts, Exact Sciences and Social Assistance, ensuring Their professional qualifications on the labor market, as well as in the development of the scientific research activity and the valorisation of its results.

The strategic plan of UPS “Ion Creangă” is elaborated in accordance with the provisions of ongoing reforms in the national and European education system, aiming to achieve the mission of the university: teachers’ pedagogical training and innovation of education sciences through inter- and transdisciplinary research .

In order to achieve the assumed mission, it is necessary to consolidate and improve some general institutional values:

In order to achieve the classical functions of the university (didactic and research), the strategic plan for the period 2012 – 2015 of the “Ion Creangă” UPS from Chisinau is oriented towards the following priority directions:

asserting organizational culture, image and institutional identity of UPSC and specializing graduates in professions recognized in the labor market;
curricular construction and development for pedagogical higher education;
optimizing the quality of the educational process;
resizing scientific research, wide openness to social expectations; The development of new scientific knowledge, the formation of new professional skills;

YURIY FEDKOVYCH CHERNIVTSI NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Chernivtsi National University, one of the leading higher educational institutions in Ukraine, was founded on the 4-th of October, 1875.

By Decree of the State Accreditation Commission from April, 7th, 2008 (Accreditation certificate series РД-IV № 259818) Chernivtsi University was accredited with the highest IV level of accreditation.

YANKA KUPALA STATE UNIVERSITY OF GRODNO

MINSK STATE LINGUISTICS UNIVERSITY

En la actualidad, la Universidad Estatal Lingüística de Minsk (MSLU) es líder en el campo de la enseñanza de idiomas en la República de Belarús y ocupa un lugar destacado en el espacio postsoviético.

Entrenamiento en 22 idiomas extranjeros

Actualmente, la Universidad Estatal Lingüística de Moscú proporciona formación en 22 idiomas (Inglés, alemán, francés, español, portugués, italiano, sueco, polaco, holandés, chino, coreano, japonés, árabe, turco, persa, Hungría, Lituania, finlandés, hebreo, urdu, así como el ruso y el bielorruso como lengua extranjera) y 15 especializaciones (literatura extranjera, la lengua y la literatura bielorruso, ruso como lengua extranjera, la lingüística computacional, la retórica, Ortofon (el aprendizaje de un idioma extranjero ku niños sordos), la geografía, la traducción literaria, traducción especial, interpretación, servicios de información, el turismo internacional, relaciones públicas, relaciones exteriores y relaciones económicas con el exterior).

Hoy, los estudiantes de nuestra universidad pueden recibir las siguientes calificaciones:

Lingüista. Profesor de dos idiomas extranjeros (con la indicación de idiomas).
Especialista en comunicaciones interculturales. Intérprete-referente (que indica los idiomas de comunicación).
Lingüista. Traductor (con indicación de idiomas).
Estas calificaciones están representadas por una amplia gama de combinaciones de idiomas y especializaciones. perfilado de profundidad permite el instituto para satisfacer plenamente las necesidades educativas modernas de los jóvenes en el campo de la educación humanitaria, lingüística y pedagógica en lenguas extranjeras.

En la estructura MSLU 6 facultades (Departamento de Inglés de la Facultad de lengua alemana, la facultad del departamento de español del departamento de traducción, intercultural facultad de comunicación), MSc (14 especialidades), Licenciado (7 especialidades), Doctorado (4 funciones), el Colegio lingüística (3 especialidades), IPC y el PC (2 departamentos), facultad del lenguaje de Rusia para los ciudadanos extranjeros, el Instituto Confucio, un centro educativo "cursos de noche" MSLU y 7 departamentos de ramas.

Sobre la base de MSLU, existe un departamento educativo y metodológico para la educación lingüística. La Universidad celebró 31 acuerdos de cooperación en el campo de la innovación pedagógica.

En MSLU, más de 7 mil estudiantes están capacitados y trabajan 1.500 empleados. Nuestra universidad se ha convertido en Alma Mater para estudiantes de más de 60 países.

MSLU lleva a cabo regularmente el plan de reclutamiento de participantes. Nuestros graduados son de la demanda en el país y en el extranjero y traductores de trabajo, guías, traductores, especialistas en relaciones públicas, expertos en relaciones económicas extranjeras, profesores, editores, traductores, arte, asistente de investigación, redactores, editores, estilistas, correctores, editores, referentes, editores de estilo, periodistas, reporteros, probadores de software, especialistas en logística y otros.

Material moderno y base técnica

Tenemos un material moderno y la base técnica: 5 edificios educativos, moderna biblioteca, instalaciones deportivas, la construcción del Colegio lingüística, 4 cómodo albergue.

La Universidad cuenta con equipos modernos para la enseñanza de las lenguas extranjeras (incluyendo habitaciones modernas de traducción simultánea, laboratorios fonéticos, clases de fitness, de usos múltiples). La universidad tiene su propio estudio de grabación, un número suficiente de habitaciones para el trabajo individual, salas de lectura, proporcionando la aplicación de on-line y videoconferencia.

Nuestra universidad tiene una biblioteca única. Su fondo tiene más de 1 millón de copias de publicaciones. Esto es educativo, científico, de referencia y ficción en bielorruso, ruso y 113 idiomas extranjeros. La Biblioteca de Austria se está desarrollando con éxito con el apoyo de la Embajada de Austria.

BELARUSIAN NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

The Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) is one of the leading technical universities of Belarus and the CIS. The BNTU has been training engineers since 1920. The BNTU today:
• comprises 17 faculties offering high-quality training in 89 specialities and 121 specializations;
• trains over 35 000 students in advanced BA, MA, PhD, and post-doctoral programs;
• numbers over 2000 highly qualified lecturers and scientists involved in teaching and research;
• has 41 research laboratories creating innovations, transferring technologies, and cooperating with production;
• runs 3 institutes offering refresher courses in the newest areas of technology and economics.
Besides, the BNTU provides various facilities for the students’ personal growth and recreation: sports grounds, cultural centers, libraries, student clubs, etc.
The BNTU meets the challenges of the 21st century combining classical university traditions with modern approaches and technologies. According to Webometrics, the BNTU ranks among 9% of the world’s best universities.

Main strategic (long-term) directions of the BNTU activity:
• Introducing innovative training programs taking into account global higher education context and the membership in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) the Republic of Belarus was granted recently. The training programs should be based on integration between training, research, and production lines of BNTU activities, as well as systematic monitoring of the needs of customers and stakeholders.

• Promoting historical, educational, and cultural heritage of the BPI-BSPA-BNTU (or University) with regard to strategic interests of Belarus.

UNIVERSITY OF PRISHTINA

The University of Prishtina was established by the Law on the Establishment of the University of Prishtina, which was approved by the Assembly of the Socialist Province of Kosovo on 18 November 1969. The establishment of the University of Prishtina was a historic event for the people of Kosovo as well as for the entire Albanian nation. The founding Assembly of the University of Prishtina was held on February 13, 1970, and two days later, on February 15, 1970, the solemn assembly of the Assembly was held and this date was announced the University Day of Pristina. In the composition of the newly established University of Prishtina were faculties with their headquarters in Prishtina: Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Law and Economics, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Medicine. Now the University of Prishtina has 17 faculties, of which 14 are academic faculties, and 3 are faculties of applied sciences. Meanwhile, with the entry into force of the University Statute, on July 9, 2004, the rights and responsibilities of the students and the staff of the Faculty of Teacher Education and the higher pedagogical schools were transferred to the Faculty of Education.

NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF UKRAINE – IGOR SIKORSKY KYIV POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE

The National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" is the largest Ukrainian University and one of the largest technical universities in Europe. University has been working and developing since 1898 as a campus, where in one area of 160 hectares they organically integrated environment for learning, recreation, sports and personal hobbies of all 40000th team. During its existence, Igor Sikorsky KPI has prepared more than 230 thousand of engineers.

STATUS: The University is a national autonomous state higher educational institution of research type, accredited with the status of a higher educational institution of the IV level and has the right to carry out educational activities aimed at training bachelors, masters, doctors of philosophy (Ph.D.) and doctors of Sciences.

INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION: The Igor Sikorsky KPI actively participates in international educational, scientific projects and programs, successfully cooperates with 47 countries, has 32 joint structures with universities partners, leading international companies (EC, CU, UNDP, UNESCO, UNIDO, WIPO, NATO, EDNES, ICSU, CODATA) and wellknown companies (MOTOROLA, SIEMENS, FESTO, SAMSUNG, INTEL, etc.). The University was also the initiator of the creation of "Center of Supercomputer Calculations and Data" in Ukraine.
