NARXOZ UNIVERSITY

The development strategy of JSC "Narxoz University" is built taking into account the rapidly evolving challenges of the educational environment. The implementation of the strategy is designed for three years, which is associated with significant changes and new trends emerging in the field of education and the provision of services.

The top management and staff of Narxoz University have identified the higher education system in the world and in Kazakhstan as a rapidly changing environment with a high degree of uncertainty, which is now less predictable than in the past. Consequently, the University provides strategic planning, taking into account uncertainties. Narxoz University’s strategy in these transition conditions has a short planning horizon. The strategy is focused on the creation of an adequate organizational structure that is capable of quickly and correctly respond to expected and unexpected challenges.

KARAKALPAK STATE UNIVERSITY

The Karakalpak state university of a name of Berdaha has been formed in 1976 г on the basis of the Karakalpak state teacher training college of a name of Shevchenko and has been renamed into Nukussky state university.

The decision №274 from January, 15th, 1992 Zhokargy of Republic Karakalpakstan Kenes have been renamed into the Karakalpak state university of a name of Berdaha.

About university achievements:

– The decree № 1533 2014 of the President and Ministry of the higher and sredne – vocational education the university was included into the rebuilding plan;

– During the last years at university 7 new directions of a bachelor degree and 3 new specialities of a magistracy have opened: oil refining and gas, processing of light industry and chemical elements, building, ichthyology, electric power industry;

– At university there are 2 Presidential grant-aided students, 2 winners of the State award of a name of Zulfii, and also owners of the State award of "Nihol", grant-aided students of a name of Ulugbeka, Navoi and Berdaha.

– For last 3 years about 30 teachers of university raised the experience, and also participated at seminars in the scientific and educational centres of foreign countries such, as Belgium, Germany, Poland, China, India, Hungary, the USA, Latvia, Sweden, Russia, Ukraine, Portugal, Kazakstan and Turkmenistan;

TASHKENT FINANCIAL INSTITUTE

Tashkent Financial Institute is one of the biggest universities in Uzbekistan. It is located in the center of Tashkent, .

Tashkent Financial Institute offers finance and tax lyceums, bank college, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, qualification institution, and postgraduate studies including doctoral programs.

The Institute teaches English and Russian and computer technologies. The Institute is equipped with modern computers. The University library is open for students. An "E-university" system is established. The Institute provides students with sports and social activities

The Institute was founded in 1931, as the "Central Asian financial-economical institution". After some years it was renamed as "Tashkent financial-economical institution". In 1962 it was renamed as Tashkent State Economical University.

After Uzbekistan gained independence the university became the "Tashkent Financial Institute" within the "Tashkent State Economical University" on May 13, 1991.

Thereafter the Institute taught more than 13,500 professionals

TASHKENT INSTITUTE OF IRRIGATION AND AGRICULTURAL MECHANIZATION ENGINEERS

Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration (Uzbek: Toshkent Irrigatsiya va Melioratsiya Instituti) or TIIM is a unique university in Central Asia, which works for the development of the water industry, and supplies the country with professionals in this field. Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration plays a huge role in the development of Uzbekistan economy and industry.

The history of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration dates back to the Soviet Union. The university was first established in 1923 as the department of Turkistan State University. It was created under the technical faculty and was called Hydro Technical Engineering. In its first year of establishment, 24 agronomists and 16 water conservation specialists graduated from the faculty. The history of this university could be recognized by the second occasion. After six years of opening the Hydro Technical Engineering department, government decided to establish a new department under the Melioration Engineering Faculty. Those two departments were linked together in 1929, which led to the establishment of Central Asian Cotton Irrigation Polytechnic University. On 11 November 1934, Central Asian Cotton Irrigation Polytechnic University was merged with the Central Asian Institute of Agricultural Industry Irrigation and Mechanization, which was the reason for the creation of Tashkent Institute of Agricultural Industry Irrigation and Mechanization. In the first years of establishment there were only two faculties, Hydro Melioration and Mechanization. After World War II, the agricultural industry of the country increased rapidly, which affected the need for professional employees.

After World War II, a number of faculties were created: Building (1945), Mechanization of Hydro Melioration (1946), and Hydro Energetics (1946). In 1974 a new faculty was named Technology of Repairing Agricultural Industry Machines and Creating Them. In 1979 a number of engineering faculties were opened, which was directly linked to the economic growth in Uzbekistan.

After the independence of Uzbekistan, all the textbooks were interpreted into Uzbek language, and most of the classes started to be taught in the native language of Uzbekistan. In 2004, on 30 March by the edict of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, the institute obtained its current name. This meant that Tashkent Institute of Agricultural Industry Irrigation and Mechanization was renamed to Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration. Nowadays the institute involves five faculties with 30 departments. It has 353 professors and teachers and more than 4860 students

BRUSOV STATE UNIVERSITY

Brusov State University is the leading university in Armenia in the field of humanities and linguistic education.

BSU is a unique blend of the old traditions and innovative ideas. The date of its foundation – 1935, marked a new milestone in the history of higher education system of Armenia, as the University admitted its first students specializing in foreign languages (in German, Russian, and later in French and English).

NATIONAL POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF ARMENIA

The National Polytechnic University of Armenia (Armenian: Հայաստանի ազգային պոլիտեխնիկական համալսարան), is a technical university located in Yerevan, Armenia. Established as the Karl Marx Institute of Polytechnic in 1933, it provides educational and research programs in various fields of technology and science related to engineering. The University includes a Central Campus in Yerevan and Branch Campuses located in Gyumri, Vanadzor and Kapan. Currently there are more than 8,000 students and more than 750 faculty members.

The university was founded by the Soviet government in 1933 as the Karl Marx Institute of Polytechnic including 2 faculties with 107 students. With the development of the industrial sector in the Armenian SSR, the university has gradually grown, to include around 25,000 students during the 1980s.

With the independence of Armenia in 1991, the name was changed to the State Engineering University of Armenia. In November 2014, the university was renamed as the National Polytechnic University of Armenia by the decision of the government of Armenia

VANADZOR STATE UNIVERSITY AFTER HOVHANNES TUMANYAN

Vanadzor State University named after Hovhannes Tumanyan (VSU) (Armenian: Վանաձորի Հովհաննես Թումանյանի անվան Պետական Համալսարան), is a public university in Vanadzor, Lori Province, Armenia. With 5 faculties, it is the largest university in the Lori Province.[1] It provides degrees in Philology, History and Geography, Pedagogy, Biology and Chemistry, and Physics and Mathematics. Currently, more than 2,400 students are attending the university.

Originally, the Faculty of Pedagogy in Vanadzor was founded on 9 July 1969 as part of the Armenian State Pedagogical University. In 1982, the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the Yerevan State University-Vanadzor branch was opened.

On 30 April 2014, by the decision of the Government of Armenia, the educational institutions of Vanadzor were restructured to form the Vanadzor State University named after Hovhannes Tumanyan.

The current rector of the university is Dr. Professor Gurgen Khachatryan.

TAJIK AGRARIAN UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER SHIRINSHOH SHOHTEMUR

Integrated development of the productive forces of the Republic, an organization of large farms in the 20-th years strongly demanded training highly qualified personnel who have engineering, technical and agricultural knowledge necessary for future organizers of production.

Approximation problem of training given zonal distribution of branches of agriculture in the Central Asian republics have necessitated the creation of specialized schools, training staff on narrower specialties. It redefined education in 1931 at the Faculty of Agriculture, Central Asian State University horticultural institute with accommodation in the city of Khujand.

Currently Tajik Agrarian University is a center of science and creativity. University graduates play an important role in the agricultural life of the country and successfully employed in the national economy.

More than 30 university graduates elected academicians and corresponding members of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, All Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences named after Lenin, 12 heroes of labor, 300 candidate of science and etc. Hundreds of graduates was awarded the State Prize of the USSR and Tajikistan.

Now, the university studied 7851 students. During its existence, the Institute has trained more 45 thousand highly qualified specialists.

Currently, the university faculties are 9: agronomy, agribusiness, accounting and finance, zoo engineering, veterinary, economic, horticulture and agricultural biotechnology, agricultural mechanization, hydromeliorative prepared specialists in 26 specialties.

At the University are 53 departments, which fruitfully work more than 500 teachers. Among them 2 academician of Agricultural Academy of Republic of Tajikistan, 51 doctors and professors, 140 associate professors.

KAZAKH ACADEMY OF SPORT AND TOURISM

Created 1944 as Kazakh Institute of Physical Culture. Acquired current title and status 1998.

The history of the Kazakh Academy of Sport and Tourism begins on November 14, 1944, when the Council of People’s Commissars of the USSR adopted a resolution on the opening of the Kazakh State Institute of Physical Culture in Almaty. From the moment of its foundation to the present time KazIFK – KazAST is the main head educational, scientific and sports center in the field of physical culture and sports in Kazakhstan and one of the leading sports universities of CIS countries. Over the years of its activity the Institute, and further the Academy has trained more than 19000 specialists in physical culture, sports and tourism. Graduates of our university can be found in different countries of the far and near abroad. Many specialists who received an education in KazAST (KazIFK), became outstanding sportsmen, coaches, scientists, leaders of the sports movement.

In the formation and development of the university, the great merit of its leaders, who have done much to improve the educational process, training specialists, multiplying the scientific and sports traditions.

Today, the Academy’s task is to keep the traditions of the older generation, multiplying the accumulated positive experience, gradually introduce world standards of education, solve the problems of physical perfection of a person, his spiritual and moral health, show the importance of physical culture in modern society, educate worthy citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This is the guarantee of the development of the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism.

Mission of the Academy:

Ensuring the high quality of training specialists in various fields in the spheres of physical culture, sports, tourism, hotel and restaurant business that are in demand in the society, capable of actively influencing the social and economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, meeting the demand of the labor market and meeting the international standard of education.

The goal is to enter the number of leading specialized universities of the countries of the Eurasian space by 2020 to train specialists with a high level of professional knowledge, innovative approaches and scientific and research skills.
