NAMANGAN ENGINEERING-CONSTRUCTION INSTITUTE

Namangan Engineering Pedagogical Institute (NamEPI) was established as the Namangan branch of Tashkent Mechanical Engineering Institute in 1991 for the purpose of improvement of education of engineers, more complete satisfaction of the demand for engineers in the Ferghana Valley and development of the scientific technical potential of the region. It is considered as the basic higher educational institution for preparation of qualified engineer-pedagogues for vocational colleges by the decision №77 (February 24, 1998) of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic of Uzbekistan.

The Institute provides instruction not only for engineer-pedagogues, but also for engineers, technologists and economists in various branches of the national economy. At the present the Institute is one of the recognized leaders in the system of vocational pedagogical education of the Republic. The students of the Institute acquire fundamental knowledge in the fields of natural sciences, technical sciences, humanities and economics combined with profound psychological, pedagogical, vocational and industrial preparation in the course of instruction.

Graduating students of NamEPI are specialists, who possess a unique combination of professional qualities and perfectly meet the requirements of the market economy.

SAMARKAND STATE UNIVERSITY

Samarkand State University is a major university in Samarkand, Uzbekistan established by a government decree of the Government of Uzbekistan dated 22 January 1927 in the city of Samarkand. The university is commonly known as Samarkand University (in Uzbek Samarqand universiteti)

The university was originally organized in 1927 as the Uzbek Pedagogical Institute and in 1930, it was renamed the Uzbek State Pedagogical Academy and in 1933, upon merger of the Pedagogical Academy and the Uzbek State Medical Institute into the Uzbek State University. In 1941—2016, the University was named after poet and philosopher Ali-Shir Nava’i (alternative transliteration Alisher Navoi).

In 1961, the Uzbek State University was finally renamed the Samarkand State University, a name it keeps to date. The rector of the university since 2015 is Dr. Alimdjan Rakhimovich Khalmukhamedov.

Currently, the University comprises the following faculties: Philology; History and Philosophy; Teaching; Physics and Mathematics; Biology; Economy; Tajik Philology; Russian Philology; Law; Physical education.

CHINA FOREIGN AFFAIRS UNIVERSITY

Since its founding in 1955, China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) has been dedicated to grooming China’s most promising young minds with global vision and great learning to work for China’s foreign services and for world peace and prosperity. Directly affiliated with China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and co-built by the Ministry of Education, CFAU offers a unique educational experience that prides itself in intellectual integrity and academic excellence.

DAGON UNIVERSITY

Dagon University (DU), a national university under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Education, was established in 1993 and it has now a capacity for sixty thousands students. It is an Arts and Sciences University and situated 20 km north from Yangon City Center. The University offers Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in common liberal arts and sciences disciplines.

AKAKI TSERETELI STATE UNIVERSITY

Based on the traditions of the Fazisi and Gelati Academies and principles of the “Magna Charta of the Universities”, Akaki Tsereteli State University – one of the oldest Caucasian multi-profile higher academic institutions, which ensures the unity and high quality of educational, research and business processes – aims at preparing professionals and leaders who will contribute to the development of their country and the world by creating, accumulating and spreading knowledge.

Akaki Tsereteli State University is one of the oldest universities in the country. In fact, it was established on the basis of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Under the resolution of January 8, 1933, the Tbilisi State University was restored. The state pedagogical institute created on its base was moved to Kutaisi and continued functioning here from February 13 the same year. In 1933-1990 it existed under the name – Aleksandre Tsulukidze State Pedagogical Institute. The institute was accommodated in the city center, in the building were before a Real College was functioning. On the first academic year (1933) up to 700 students who had moved from Tbilisi to our town were studying in their first and second years at the Pedagogical Institute founded in Kutaisi. Following them their professors came to work to Kutaisi.

CASPIAN STATE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGIES AND ENGINEERING NAMED AFTER SH. YESSENOV

Founded as Aktauskij Universitet im. Š. Yesenova (Sh. Yesenov Aktau State University), acquired present title 2008.
