Tokai University is a private university established in 1942. The Tokai University Educational System is one of the largest general education and research institutions in Japan. To seek mutual understading and global peace through the education of young scholars from around the world, we began accepting foreign students early on and have consistently promoted Japanese-language education. More than 30,000 students, 659 of them international, study at Tokai’s nine campuses.

Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) is Japan’s only university with a graduate school of medical and dental sciences. The goals of TMDU are educating individuals going into medical professions, including doctors and dentists; creating systems for research studies in the medical care and life sciences fields; fostering the development of sophisticated experts in medical and research fields; and making contributions towards society and humanity through these efforts.

manaba is a cloud-based collaborative learning system developed by ASAHI Net, Inc. and used by more than 200 educational programs globally. manaba fosters fruitful interaction among students, instructors, program officers and the surrounding learning community and allows them to store and share their work online. International educators implement manaba for the accumulation of learning evidence and artifacts, assessment of learning outcomes, and mutual learning and collaboration to enhance the quality of students’ international experiences.

Okayama University, one of Japan’s leading universities, is situated on an extensive campus and has 11 faculties and master’s and doctoral courses embracing humanities, social, natural, environmental and life sciences, and pedagogics. Approximately 13,400 students, including 500 international students, currently enjoy life at this university, and 2,600 staff are engaged in educational and research activities and university management.

Osaka International University (OIU) is a four-year private coeducational university located in Osaka, Japan, founded in 1988. OIU has three faculties for undergraduate programs: Global Business, International Liberal Arts, and Human Sciences. The Faculty of Global Business will introduce English-taught courses in fall 2016 for convenience of international students. OIU has more than 70 international partners and currently accepts exchange students for Japanese studies.

The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST) offers a flexible academic program for PhD candidates. With more than half of our students and faculty coming from abroad, OIST offers the highest level of graduate education in a truly international environment. Nearly 50 cutting-edge laboratories conducting wide-ranging research form the hub of the OIST Graduate University. Based on a foundation in the basic sciences, we promote a highly interdisciplinary education.

Ideally located in the heart of Japan near Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, and Osaka, Osaka Gakuin University (OGU) is a private university with seven departments ranging from law to hospitality management. For international students, OGU offers semester/yearlong exchange programs and short-term experience programs (2-3 weeks).
