UNIVERSIDAD CATOLICA DEL URUGUAY

Instalada en Montevideo y en varias ciudades del interior, la Universidad Católica del Uruguay es la universidad privada más antigua del país y la más extendida geográficamente.

Fundada inicialmente en 1882 por el primer Arzobispo de Montevideo, Mons. Mariano Soler, reabierta y confiada a la Compañía de Jesús en 1985, la Universidad Católica del Uruguay es la principal obra de la Iglesia Católica en el campo de la educación superior uruguaya. Su compromiso con la excelencia académica, con el pluralismo ideológico, con el ecumenismo y el diálogo interreligioso, la han convertido en uno de los actores fundamentales en la vida cultural del país.

Desde el momento de su nacimiento, la Universidad Católica del Uruguay se impuso el reto de ser una opción diferente en la enseñanza universitaria. Eso la llevó a trabajar en áreas previamente desatendidas y a jugar un papel innovador en el desarrollo de nuevos métodos educativos y en la evangelización de la cultura. Hoy, con ocho mil estudiantes en sus aulas y varias decenas de programas académicos en ejecución, vive una etapa de consolidación y se enfrenta al desafío de dar respuesta a los nuevos requerimientos de la sociedad uruguaya.

UNIVERSIDAD DE LA REPUBLICA

La Universidad de la República (Udelar) es la principal institución de educación superior y de investigación del Uruguay. En colaboración con una amplia gama de actores institucionales y sociales, realiza también múltiples actividades orientadas al uso socialmente valioso del conocimiento y a la difusión de la cultura. Es una institución pública, autónoma y cogobernada por sus docentes, estudiantes y egresados.

RENMIN UNIVERSITY (BEIJING)

Renmin University of China is a research-oriented comprehensive university focusing on humanities and social sciencesIt is directly under the Ministry of Education of China andis jointly financed and supported by China’s Ministry of Education and the Beijing Municipal government. It can be traced back to Shanbei Public School, founded in 1937 in the midst of Anti-Japanese War. Later it became the North China United University, and then North China University. On December 16th, 1949, advised by the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the 11thAdministrative Meeting of the National Administration Council passed “The Resolution on the Establishment of Renmin University of China”. On October 3rd, 1950, the North China University was renamed as Renmin University of China. It was the first modern university founded by the People’s Republic of China. Eminent educationalists Prof. Wu Yuzhang, Prof. Cheng Fangwu, Prof. Yuan Baohua, Prof. Huang Da, Prof. Li Wenhai, Prof. Ji Baocheng and Prof. Chen Yulu were presidents of the university successively. The current President is Prof. Liu Wei. Dr. Jin Nuo is the incumbent Chairwoman of the University Council.

CHINA UNIVERSITY OF POLITICAL SCIENCES AND LAW (BEIJING)

China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) is a multidisciplinary research university directly under the Ministry of Education. The University focuses on law, accompanied with a variety of other disciplines such as philosophy, economics, literature, science and management. There are two campuses, both in Beijing: Fuxue Road of Changping District and Xueyuan Road of Haidian District.

In its 50 years’ development, CUPL has fostered more than 200,000 graduates of different levels, taken part in virtually every legislation activity of the state since its foundation and led the jurisprudence theoretical innovation as well as the legal conceptual renewal of China, representing its international exchanges in the field of law. CUPL now has 14007 full-time students, including 8414 undergraduates, 4324 postgraduates and 248 overseas students. It currently has a faculty of 898 members, among which 109 are doctoral advisers, 587 are professors or associate professors, 83.7% have master’s degrees of above.

The motto of the university is “law and virtue in mind, to inquire for the sake of mankind”.

The goal of the university is to build CUPL into an internationally recognized, multidisciplinary, research oriented legal university.

GUANGDONG UNIVERSITY OF FOREIGN STUDIES

The University of Foreign Studies of Guangdong, one of the top universities of the province, of high academic level and with outstanding characteristics of internationalization, is an important center located in the south of China dedicated to the training of qualified personnel for International Affairs and Research in foreign languages ​​and cultures, in economic and commercial relations with foreign countries and in international strategies. Currently, the University has 20,454 full-time students, more than 2,000 graduate students and more than 13,000 foreign or continuing education students.
 
History
 
The University of Foreign Studies of Guangdong was formed in June 1995 on the basis of the former Institute of Foreign Languages ​​of Guangzhou and the former Institute of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Guangzhou. The first, one of the three famous institutes of foreign languages ​​under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education of China, was established in 1965, while the second, directly subordinated to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations (Ministry of Commerce today in day), was founded in 1980 as one of the first national teaching centers offering a degree program in economics and international trade. Since October 2008, the Professional Institute of Finance and Economics of Guangdong is also part of the University.
 
Campus
 
The University, which is located in Guangzhou (one of the main historical and cultural cities of China and economic center of the South of the country), has three campuses, with a total area of ​​153 hectares. The North Campus, with an area of ​​63 hectares, is located on the northern slope of the Baiyun Mountain, the South Campus, with an area of ​​73 hectares, is located in the University City of Guangzhou and the Dalang campus, with an area of 17 hectares, is in the area of ​​the same name. The University enjoys a beautiful environment, with wonderful green and cheerful areas, fresh air and streams with bridges.

PEKING UNIVERSITY

Peking University is a comprehensive and national key university. The campus, known as "Yan Yuan"(the garden of Yan), is situated at Haidian District in the western suburb of Beijing, with a total area of 2,743,532 square metres (or 274 hectares). It stands near to the Yuanmingyuan Garden and the Summer Palace.

UNIVERSIDAD CENTROAMERICANA JOSÉ SIMEÓN CAÑAS

La UCA es una universidad de inspiración cristiana, puesta al servicio del pueblo salvadoreño y centroamericano, y comprometida con el cambio social. Cambio que debe impulsarse universitariamente a través de la investigación, la docencia y la proyección social.

El punto de partida de la UCA es la realidad nacional, que mantiene en sus dinámicas culturales y socioeconómicas graves injusticias estructurales. La Universidad aspira, por tanto, a una transformación social del país y quiere contribuir al cambio desde su propia identidad universitaria.
