VANADZOR STATE UNIVERSITY AFTER HOVHANNES TUMANYAN

Vanadzor State University named after Hovhannes Tumanyan (VSU) (Armenian: Վանաձորի Հովհաննես Թումանյանի անվան Պետական Համալսարան), is a public university in Vanadzor, Lori Province, Armenia. With 5 faculties, it is the largest university in the Lori Province.[1] It provides degrees in Philology, History and Geography, Pedagogy, Biology and Chemistry, and Physics and Mathematics. Currently, more than 2,400 students are attending the university.

Originally, the Faculty of Pedagogy in Vanadzor was founded on 9 July 1969 as part of the Armenian State Pedagogical University. In 1982, the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the Yerevan State University-Vanadzor branch was opened.

On 30 April 2014, by the decision of the Government of Armenia, the educational institutions of Vanadzor were restructured to form the Vanadzor State University named after Hovhannes Tumanyan.

The current rector of the university is Dr. Professor Gurgen Khachatryan.

INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY OF CAMBODIA

Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) is a Cambodian Higher Education Institution which was founded in 1964 and supported by cooperation between the Cambodia and the former Soviet Union. More than 10000 executive members have been graduated from ITC. They are currently working intensely on the economic and social infrastructure development of Cambodia.

n the current context of globalization and fast transformations of new technologies ITC’s main concerns are to play an efficient role in the Cambodian society and to be at the cutting edge of development to improve our educational system.

Our goal is to provide students with a high quality education in the fields of engineering sciences and technologies. Students are provided with technical know-how and skills of analysis which allow integration and evolution in the labor market. To achieve this, the academic and international scientific research requires development.

Besides our academic activities, ITC contributes to maintain sustainable development and decrease the inequalities within our society through its internal functioning and opening-up to foreign countries and the way their students get admitted.

The current development of ITC owes a lot to the support of the national community and the great efforts made by staffs and students from generation to generation.

In 1993, Cambodian and French governments agreed to renovate ITC with a view to improve performance of the administration and financial services along with the educational system of the institution and the human resources.

Nowadays, ITC is at the crossroads in South Eastern Asia region where several partners meet:

ITC also enjoys privileged relations with a great number of Cambodian companies and multinationals which have branches throughout Cambodia.

Beyond regular exchanges, ITC has developed a Continuing Education programs and a large laboratory services proposal.

The aim of the institute is to conduct training, technology education, science and technology with certain quality, virtue and high capability so that the student are able to gain knowledge, practical skill and capacity to be the basic of work creation and to fill the labor market requirement and participate in national social-economic development to high growth.

Goal
To achieve these vision and aims, the institute has objectives as follow:

– Ensure to build, develop and produce human resources with quality and effectiveness to fit the need the labor market.

– Continue to expand and strengthen academic quality in the sector of engineer, technique, science and technology with potentiality, capability and upgrade the education training system in higher education institution in Cambodia.

– Develop researching work in national and international level.

– Continue to expand and strengthen cooperation with local and international development partners in national and international community to be the benefit and basics of building and upgrading in studying capacity, teaching and researching task, science to students and professors.

– Continue to expand and strengthen good relationship with factories, enterprises, national and international companies in order to create job opportunity for student and study tour.

COLLEGE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES AND CULTURES OF SICHUAN UNIVERSITY

The College of Foreign Languages and Cultures of Sichuan University was born from two mergers. First, Sichuan University’s famous century-old Department of Foreign Languages and Literature (founded in 1896) was merged with the Foreign Language Department of the former Chengdu University of Science and Technology (CUST). Shortly thereafter, the new combined department was merged with the Foreign Language Department of the West China University of Medical Sciences (WCUMS).
The College consists of five teaching divisions: the departments of (1) English, (2) Japanese, (3) Russian, (4) French and German, and (5) Foreign Languages for Non-language Majors.

The College has hosted frequent academic exchanges with renowned international universities and research institutions, including those in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Each year, celebrated experts and professors come from America, Britain, Canada, Australia, Russia, Japan, France, Germany and Korea to teach or give lectures to students and faculty. The Japanese Department and French and German Department have developed student exchange programs with renowned Japanese and French universities.
The teachers of the College have received financial support from a number of overseas organizations and institutions. As a result, many of its members have had the chance to lecture, visit, or pursue advanced study abroad.
The College has also been approved by the State’s Ministry of Education (MOE) to have cooperative education with the French government. The specialization of English language and literature of the College is a provincial key discipline.

ZHANGIR KHAN WEST KAZAKHSTAN AGRARIAN-TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

Created 1963. Reorganized into West-Kazakhstan Agrarian University 1996. Became part of West Kazakhstan State University 2000. Reorganized into the West-Kazakhstan Agrarian-Technical University 2002. Acquired present title 2003.

Internal mission is to be innovative and regional university of personnel and scientific support of knowledge economy.

Vision is to be a leader of quality agrarian technical and economic education and science in West Kazakhstan.

TAJIK AGRARIAN UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER SHIRINSHOH SHOHTEMUR

Integrated development of the productive forces of the Republic, an organization of large farms in the 20-th years strongly demanded training highly qualified personnel who have engineering, technical and agricultural knowledge necessary for future organizers of production.

Approximation problem of training given zonal distribution of branches of agriculture in the Central Asian republics have necessitated the creation of specialized schools, training staff on narrower specialties. It redefined education in 1931 at the Faculty of Agriculture, Central Asian State University horticultural institute with accommodation in the city of Khujand.

Currently Tajik Agrarian University is a center of science and creativity. University graduates play an important role in the agricultural life of the country and successfully employed in the national economy.

More than 30 university graduates elected academicians and corresponding members of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, All Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences named after Lenin, 12 heroes of labor, 300 candidate of science and etc. Hundreds of graduates was awarded the State Prize of the USSR and Tajikistan.

Now, the university studied 7851 students. During its existence, the Institute has trained more 45 thousand highly qualified specialists.

Currently, the university faculties are 9: agronomy, agribusiness, accounting and finance, zoo engineering, veterinary, economic, horticulture and agricultural biotechnology, agricultural mechanization, hydromeliorative prepared specialists in 26 specialties.

At the University are 53 departments, which fruitfully work more than 500 teachers. Among them 2 academician of Agricultural Academy of Republic of Tajikistan, 51 doctors and professors, 140 associate professors.

ASIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

KAZAKH ACADEMY OF SPORT AND TOURISM

Created 1944 as Kazakh Institute of Physical Culture. Acquired current title and status 1998.

The history of the Kazakh Academy of Sport and Tourism begins on November 14, 1944, when the Council of People’s Commissars of the USSR adopted a resolution on the opening of the Kazakh State Institute of Physical Culture in Almaty. From the moment of its foundation to the present time KazIFK – KazAST is the main head educational, scientific and sports center in the field of physical culture and sports in Kazakhstan and one of the leading sports universities of CIS countries. Over the years of its activity the Institute, and further the Academy has trained more than 19000 specialists in physical culture, sports and tourism. Graduates of our university can be found in different countries of the far and near abroad. Many specialists who received an education in KazAST (KazIFK), became outstanding sportsmen, coaches, scientists, leaders of the sports movement.

In the formation and development of the university, the great merit of its leaders, who have done much to improve the educational process, training specialists, multiplying the scientific and sports traditions.

Today, the Academy’s task is to keep the traditions of the older generation, multiplying the accumulated positive experience, gradually introduce world standards of education, solve the problems of physical perfection of a person, his spiritual and moral health, show the importance of physical culture in modern society, educate worthy citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This is the guarantee of the development of the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism.

Mission of the Academy:

Ensuring the high quality of training specialists in various fields in the spheres of physical culture, sports, tourism, hotel and restaurant business that are in demand in the society, capable of actively influencing the social and economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, meeting the demand of the labor market and meeting the international standard of education.
